# Changing your email address

Your account email address is the address you use to log in and where you receive emails from Heartsome. It’s also the work email address shown on your profile.

#### Changing your email address
1. Click your name at the bottom of the left menu and choose **My settings**.
2. You’ll land directly on the **Email** section. Enter your new email address.
3. Click **Save**.

#### Confirm your new address
After saving, Heartsome sends a confirmation link to your new address. Click the link to confirm it. **Until you do, you won’t be able to use Heartsome.** Only change your email address when you have access to the new inbox.

Didn’t receive an email? Check your spam folder or resend the link via **Click here to resend the verification email**.

#### Good to know
* You can’t use an email address that’s already linked to another Heartsome account.
* Your email address belongs to your account, not to a specific company. If you work in Heartsome for multiple companies, it changes for all of them.
* You can’t update your work email address on your profile (You → Profile). You do that here.
* Your personal email address is separate. You can update that on your profile.
